About the Winter Haven Municipal Airport (KGIF)

Winter Haven Municipal Airport (KGIF) is located in the central portion of Polk County. Close to the geographical center of the state, nearly equal distance from the east and west coast and half way between the Georgia-Florida border and the southern tip of the peninsula, Polk is located within the Interstate-4 corridor approximately 25 statute miles east of Tampa and 35 statute miles southwest of Orlando.  The airport is comprised of approximately 440 acres of land.

Winter Haven Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the City of Winter Haven and provides a full-range of corporate/business and general aviation services to the surrounding community. The Airport's mission is to serve the City of Winter Haven and the surrounding area with full aviation services by attracting corporate, business and recreational flight activities. GIF strives to fulfill this mission by maintaining current facilities, offering a full range of aviation services and providing economic benefits for the surrounding community. In its immediate vicinity, the airport serves approximately 85,000 people residing in Winter Haven, Auburndale and Lake Alfred. Aviation services include flight training, aircraft fueling, maintenance, rental, sales and courtesy vehicle.

 

Aviation Art Exhibition

The City of Winter Haven and Fantasy of Flight have partnered to sponsor an aviation-themed art exhibition at the Winter Haven Municipal Airport. The event was a juried competition. All artwork will be displayed at the Airport through May 1, 2011, during normal terminal hours. Be sure to stop by to view the display, and visit Richard's Fine Coffees and Deli while you're at the Airport.

	Executive/corporate hangars available - various sizes and lease rates;
	T-Hangars available for $291 per month plus tax;
	Tie-down spaces available for $40 per month, plus applicable tax;
	237 square foot retail area in the new Terminal Building on Highway 92, West available for $500 per month, plus tax; includes all utilities; and
	Office space in multiple office building at $200, plus tax, per office per month, including all utilities.
